Our Commitment

The Chicago Salsa & Bachata Festival is dedicated to creating a vibrant, safe, and inclusive space where every single person feels respected and empowered to celebrate dance. We believe that a world-class event is built on a foundation of community trust and mutual respect. This Code of Conduct applies to everyone involved in the festival, including attendees, artists, staff, and vendors.

Unacceptable Behavior

We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment in any form. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion.
  • Abuse of power or influence, including and or between instructors/staff and students/attendees.
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Harassing, non-consensual photography or recording.
  • Sustained disruption of workshops, performances, or other events.
  • Inappropriate and unwelcome physical contact.
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.

Safety is a shared responsibility. We pledge to provide a secure and supportive framework, and we ask every attendee to join us in fostering a culture of respect.
